It is synonymous with spring and considered as a good fortune in nearly all the cultures. Daffodil Day is Australia’s most popular fundraising events. It is a birthday flower of March and also the flower of 10th wedding anniversary. If you see this flower in your dream, it symbolizes new beginnings, hope, creativity, introspection & forgiveness.
How I made it: I machine sewed each ribbon to another ribbon. It is sewed using zigzag stitch with white thread. It took me a lot of time to make it. But I love to know that I made my own yarn & now you will be able to use this handmade creation to make something beautiful.
I meticulously cut these strips with my own hands from long sarees one at a time. These fair trade sari ribbon yarn are made from remnant but new fabric from my collection. That is why sometimes I mention it as recycled sari yarn.
I used cotton/ silk/ polyester blend Indian sarees to make this beautiful colorful craft yarn. I have kept the edges of this sari ribbon yarn raw or unfinished intentionally to give it an organic look. I feel it adds a certain mystic & give a wild touch to this art yarn. It gives me a happy feeling just looking at it!
