Introducing my new line of yarns – Rangeelo Rajasthan. “Rangeelo” means colorful and Rajasthan is a place in India which is known for its colorful clothes and crafts. These yarns features colorful cotton ribbons made from colorful and floral cotton fabric. This colorway is a “Limited Edition” as it is made using the last of my remnant fabric in this print.
I have used lightweight cotton fabrics to make this ribbon yarn. The yarn is airy, light as feather and super soft. I will be adding more colors of these ribbons soon. I have used stripes of colored printed cotton ribbons each about 1″ to 1.5″ wide. This is a perfect yarn for making spring or summer projects. It is also great for people with allergies as it is made using 100% cotton.
How I made it:
I cut each strip from long cotton fabric. I then machine sewed each ribbon to another ribbon. It is sewed using zigzag stitch with matching thread. It took me a lot of time to make it. But I love to know that I made my own yarn & now you will be able to use this handmade creation to make something beautiful. I have kept the edges of this yarn raw or unfinished intentionally to give it an organic look. I feel it adds a certain mystic & gives a wild touch to this art yarn.
Washing Care: Wash these cottons separately as there might be a little color bleeding. Gentle hand wash, lay flat to dry.
We are one of the few craft supplies stores who offer you this and other fair trade sari ribbon yarns.
