Symbolic meaning of forsythia: Dreaming about forsythia means anticipation of good times and time to transform your old habits and pattern. Sometimes, called golden bell, this lovely flower is widely used in Chinese medicine mainly to detoxify the body. As a totem, it will bring joy and sense of freedom in your life.
How I made it: I machine sewed each ribbon to another ribbon. It is sewed using zigzag stitch with white thread. It took me a lot of time to make it. But I love to know that I made my own yarn & now you will be able to use this handmade creation to make something beautiful.
I meticulously cut these strips with my own hands from long sarees one at a time. These fair trade sari ribbon yarn are made from remnant but new fabric from my collection. That is why sometimes I mention it as recycled sari yarn.
I used cotton/ silk/ polyester blend Indian sarees to make this beautiful colorful craft yarn. I have kept the edges of this sari ribbon yarn raw or unfinished intentionally to give it an organic look. I feel it adds a certain mystic & give a wild touch to this art yarn. It gives me a happy feeling just looking at it!
