Let me tell you a little story about what inspired me to make these beads. If you have seen my other crochet projects, you will know, I have a design named Miniature Saxophone where I have used rhinestone studded metallic beads.

I made some new pieces of this crochet saxophone for an exhibition & wanted to use those rhinestones. I went to the local market but couldn’t find what I was looking for. So, I came up with this option of making my own beads with what I had available at hand. Believe me, these disco beads look much better than the rhinestones. Also, there is a certain amount of pride & satisfaction associated with making these beads than the commercially bought beads.
