Symbolic meaning of blue pansy: The literal meaning of pansy in french means to think or a thought/remembrance. It symbolizes the love or admiration of one person for another. Blue is a rare color in flowers. Pansy help us to stop between our own thoughts and helps to ponder what we are thinking. It creates a gap in our thought process so that we can see our current situation clearly. It is also used as garnishes in salads and soups. It is said to have magical telepathic quality. Best to have it when you want to read the other person’s mind or when you want to get your own idea across to someone.
How I made it: I machine sewed each ribbon to another ribbon. It is sewed using zigzag stitch with white thread. It took me a lot of time to make it. But I love to know that I made my own yarn & now you will be able to use this handmade creation to make something beautiful.
I used cotton/ silk/ polyester blend Indian sarees to make this beautiful colorful craft yarn. I meticulously cut these strips with my own hands from long sarees one at a time. These fair trade sari ribbon yarn are made from remnant but new fabric from my collection. That is why sometimes I mention it as recycled sari yarn.
I have kept the edges of this sari ribbon yarn raw or unfinished intentionally to give it an organic look. I feel it adds a certain mystic & give a wild touch to this art yarn. It gives me a happy feeling just looking at it!
